Tye has found himself in our care due to his owners poor health. Tye had been with his owner all his life, 13 years. He is a JRT x corgi. You wouldn't know he was 13, he's still quite active and still has lots of life left in him. As you can imagine Tye has been quite confused and unsure with the sudden changes in his life. We've found that he feels safe in a crate, and goes in and out by himself happily. Tye is doing great in his temporary foster home. He’s house-trained, settles on his own at night either in his crate or on the sofa, he walks nicely on the lead, he travels well, he’s OK to be left alone for a few hours, he likes to play, he likes to be close and to snuggle, he likes fusses, he loves his treats, he’s intelligent, he’s been great with visitors to the home, he’s adjusted well to living with two other dogs, he’s getting used to some new rules, he’s starting to enjoy dog food, he’s getting better around human food and is begging less. This gentleman needs a home with no children. We are looking for a forever foster home with someone with JRT or corgi experience (all costs covered by the rescue). He’s a typical terrier and can be a bit grumpy and is uncomfortable with some handling; but treat him like the dog that he is with a few rules and a bit of time and patience, and he’s absolutely fantastic.
